Uaricha, Revista de Psicología, aims to be a channel to spread the results of research carried out in the field of psychology and related areas. It is a magazine of continuous publication, with an annual volume, in Spanish (with title, abstract and keywords in English).
It is a scientific, electronic and freely accessible publication, edited by the Faculty of Psychology of the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo. It publishes empirical studies with qualitative, quantitative and mixed methodology. It also includes systematic reviews of the literature, meta-analysis, theoretical works, psychometric studies, case studies, reviews, replicas, and essays.
This journal adheres to international criteria, established by indexing systems, for sending and receiving original works; as well as for its evaluation and publication. The evaluation is carried out by means of double-blinded arbitration, in which internal and external evaluators participate.
It is aimed at professionals, researchers, teachers and students of psychology and related sciences.
Editorial workflow
The editorial process of Uaricha, lasts from 3 to 6 months from the moment a manuscript is sent until the final version of the manuscript is published. The time will depend on the received observations and the resolution of said observations.
Once the authors submit their article, they will automatically receive notification email. The editorial committee will read the first draft to check whether or not the article meets the journal's criteria, this process lasts from 1 to 3 weeks. If the article complies, the authors will be notified and the article will be sent to a double-blind review process. Otherwise, the authors are advised to adjust the document to the journal's criteria, so that the submission process may be restarted. If the article is not corrected, the journal will terminate the process.
The selection process can last from 1 to 3 months. The possible resolutions can be :
a) That both reviewers determine that the article is "not publishable". In this case the decision is notified to the authors and the process is terminated.
b) If both reviewers approve the article, the authors will be notified. Additionally, they will be provided a list of minor or major corrections depending on the case .
c) If there a discrepancy in the judgment of both reviewers, the committee will request a third opinion to obtain a resolution. The authors will be notified of the final verdict and the resolution will be delivered.
After the first draft is approved, the authors will be notified. Likewise, they will receive a list of corrections and they will have three weeks to make the changes. If the authors do not comply with the required corrections in a timely manner, the process will be terminated. In case of compliance with the changes, the committee will evaluate the corrections in a period of one to two weeks and will decide whether or not to continue with the process. If the committee evaluates the corrections favorably, the editorial process will begin. The editorial process takes approximately one month. The successful process will culminate in the publication of the document.

In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI, 2002), Uaricha is an open source online magazine that aims to promote a greater exchange of global knowledge in the scientific community.
Readers have the right to free reading of all articles published online, as well as to reproduce, distribute and publicly communicate the information in digital format, provided that the corresponding credit is granted to the authors and to Uaricha,
Frecuency of publication
Uaricha, Revista de Psicología, is an annual publication. It is a continuous and permanent publication. The volume of each year is made up by the articles as they are accepted and published. This policy was implemented to speed up the publication of accepted articles.
Language of publication
The manuscripts are published in Spanish. However, the title, abstract and keywords are also presented in English.
Indexing
Uaricha, Revista de Psicología is an open access publication. It is included in LATINDEX (Regional Online Information System for Scientific Journals in Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal), in the CLASE index (Bibliographic Database of Social Sciences and Humanities Journals of Latin America and the Caribbean), in Academic Google and in Biblat (Latin American Bibliography in Scientific and Social Research Journals).

Uaricha, Revista de Psicología adheres to the guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) (see: http://www.apa.org/ethics/code/index.aspx#) and the Code of Ethics of the Mexican Society of Psychology (http: //societymexicanadepsicologia.org/index.php/publicaciones/codigo-etico) issued by and the National Council for Teaching and Research in Psychology in relation to ethical standards for research and publication.
Uaricha, Revista de Psicología, reserves the right to review the authenticity and originality of the writing using anti-plagiarism software. In the event that plagiarism or self-plagiarism is detected, the article will be automatically rejected and the authors will be notified
