Comparative study of resilience in adolescents: the role of gender, schooling and origin

Abstract
During adolescence, resilience becomes especially relevant since set to test the capacity of young people to adapt and overcome adversity. From this arises the objective of this study, which was to identify whether there are differences in resilience in adolescents from gender, age and origin. Based on a quantitative approach, with non-experimental design of descriptive Court; the sample is composed of 779 adolescents; the scale of Mexican resilience of Palomar (2010) was used. The results highlight differences by gender in family support and Social support; by educational level, the differences are in strength and conf idence
in mimo-Yes, social skills and social support; by origin, there are differences in all of the factors; contrary there are no differences by age. We conclude that gender, schooling and the origin of the adolescent, raises differences in the ability the adversity.
